Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has a list of transfer targets safely tucked away in his top pocket, in case the purse strings are loosened at the Ricoh Arena in the new year.
A solid start to the Championship season has raised hopes of a push for the play-offs and chairman Ray Ranson has said that money could be available to strengthen in January if City were in contention.
‘If the club gave us £5million tomorrow we have identified the players to go and spend that £5million, I promise you that,’ Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph with chief scout Andy Thorn having been busy in recent months.
‘Equally, if they give us £2million we’d have different players to fit into that budget.’
