A nice easy rumour for the newspapers on Tuesday morning as Aron Gunnarsson is being linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers.
A similar story to the Michael Mifsud ones that sprung up after the Manchester United game last season (£5m interest from a host of top-flight clubs), there is no doubt that anyone watching Saturday’s game would have been impressed with the Icelander.
To say however that Blackburn are suddenly going to make a bid based on that one display looks far-fetched to put it mildly.
