With Coventry City keeping their transfer cards close to their chest at present, Vital Coventry is indulging in some idle speculation about new signings and we reckon Wales international midfielder Andy Dorman may fit the bill for new boss Aidy Boothroyd.

The 28-year-old was linked with Watford last season and, now a free agent after the expiry of his St Mirren contract, is on his way south of the border.

Buddies manager Danny Lennon told his club’s official website: ‘We have been informed by Andy Dorman’s agent that it looks as if he will be heading down south to a new club.

‘Andy has a definite offer from a Championship side and a few others are also showing a very good interest in him.’

Described by former St Mirren manager Gus McPherson as a ‘quality attacking player’, Dorman, formerly of New England Revolution, struggled with injury last season as his side fought against relegation from the SPL.
