Wigan keen to keep Black

Wigan Athletic have turned down Coventry City’s request to talk to number two Eric Black, and the former Sky Blues’ boss has no problem with that decision.

‘I was aware of Coventry’s interest but I’m more than happy with the job I’m doing with Steve (Bruce),’ said the Scot.

‘One day I might want to return to management – I don’t know if that will happen – but there’s a big challenge here first.’
