Andy Whing has said his final goodbyes at Coventry City as he begins the search for a new club.
‘I have been here a long time and I am obviously gutted to be leaving,’ the popular defender told the Coventry Telegraph.
‘I have been away before when I have gone out on loan and done it, and I am now looking forward to a new challenge and fresh start, and hopefully I can do the same as when I went down to Brighton.
‘There is no rush but I would like to get something done before pre-season.
‘I will hopefully talk to a few people and see what happens.
‘I’d obviously like to stay in the Championship but if I have to drop down I will with a view to making the step back up.’
Whing added: ‘It hasn’t maybe worked out so much for me in the last couple of years but I have played a lot of games for Coventry and thoroughly enjoyed my time here.’
