What Time’s Kick-Off?

The old football joke – ‘What time’s kick off?’ ‘What time can you get here?’ – fits the bill perfectly for Coventry City FC in the forthcoming season it seems.

With a raft of fixture changes forced by the decision to groundshare with Northampton Town and less than 300 season tickets sold just one week before the start of the season the club could commision a survey of fans to find the best time to kick-off.

On Vital Coventry recently we wondered whether City’s away followings this season would outnumber home attendances and that scenario is looking more and more likely as the days go by.

Ticketing Manager Dan Walker (the man with the hardest job in football at present) told the Telegraph: ‘We knew it was going to be tough – there is no getting away from that.’
