Two clubs unlikely to win the Co-op bank’s customer of the year award clash at Hillsborough on Saturday as Sheffield Wednesday meet Coventry City.

Wednesday have been forced to deny talk of administration in the wake of chairman Dave Allen’s departure and like the Sky Blues they are waiting for someone to come in and ease the money worries.

Coventry’s need is much more pressing now of course as the 10-day deadline draws ever nearer but at least Tuesday’s win at West Brom has given the fans something to cheer about.

Vital Quotes: Iain Dowie

‘Hillsborough is always a very difficult place to go.

‘Brian Laws has got his team playing good football and they are in good form of late. But we have been very good away from home.

‘Consistency is important and we must take how were performed at West Brom to Hillsborough.’

Sheffield Wednesday Team News:

Akpo Sodje joins fellow strikers Francis Jeffers and Deon Burton on the sidelines after injuring an ankle at Southampton in midweek.

Player to watch: Glenn Whelan

Strongly linked with a move away in January, the classy midfielder will be looking to impress.

Coventry City Team News:

Iain Dowie will surely stick to the same line-up that won at the Hawthorns, meaning Arjan De Zeeuw and Stephen Hughes remain on the sidelines.

Player to watch: Michael Hughes

A run of games could see the veteran midfielder show his true form but Wednesday’s midfield will provide a tough test.

Match Facts & Stats
