Coventry City have been linked with 20-year-old Southampton striker Leon Best who is out of contract this summer (although a fee would have to be paid because of his age).

Best ended last season in excellent form for the Saints but has turned down the offer of a new St Mary’s deal.

Coventry-born forward Daniel Nardiello, recently capped by Wales and also out of contract shortly is also attracting City’s interest. The 24-year-old scored 9 goals last season.

Also linked has been Jeff Hughes, Lincoln City’s Northern Ireland international defender who is valued at around £500,000 and has been linked with Crystal Palace recently.
