Nottingham Forest gave themselves a fighting chance of staying in the Championship with a 1-0 win over Coventry on Saturday, after a second-half display which pleased manager Billy Davies.
‘It wasn’t very good sitting in our dugout in the first half and one or two harsh words were said at half-time,’ he admitted.
‘But we got the reaction we wanted from the players.
‘They are maturing with every game and they now know how to get 1-0 wins, which is very important.
‘By getting the win we’ve brought a number of other teams into the reckoning at the foot of the table but we’ve just got to take care of what is in front of us.’
