February 2009 was one of the better months of the new century for Coventry City as they progressed up the Championship table and secured an FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea at the Ricoh Arena.
Part of the Sky Blues side who went unbeaten throughout the month was Jordan Henderson, a young midfielder signed on loan from Sunderland whose energy contributed to the positive vibes running throughout the club.
His first senior goal came in the 2-1 win at Norwich City on February 28 and he was then called up for England’s Under-21 side.
Few would have thought then that he would make a £20m move to Liverpool or become a key part of the Reds’ revival but there is now a big chance that Henderson will be part of the World Cup squad this summer.
