100 days into his reign as Coventry City manager, Aidy Boothroyd had made a positive start to life in the Sky Blues hotseat as we reflected on three key decisions that the new boss had made.

A lot has changed since August 2010 for both the man himself and the football club. Although he is currently in charge of England’s under-20 team the days when Boothroyd was seen as one of the ‘brightest young managers in the English game’ are long gone after his sacking by Northampton last season with the Cobblers on the brink of relegation out of the Football League.

He could justifiably claim, however, to have been the first victim of the chain of events that have led Coventry City to their current nadir as the man who brought him to the club, Ray Ranson, stepped down as chairman.
