Michael Hughes is set to sign a one-year contract with Coventry City on Wednesday after the expiry of his contract at Crystal Palace.
The 35-year-old, capped 71 times by Northern Ireland, played for Manchester City, West Ham, Wimbledon and French side Strasbourg before joining Palace at the start of the 2003/04 season.
Later in that campaign he was part of the Eagles side that made a storming late run for the play-offs under new manager Iain Dowie.
