U’s slam tribunal outcome

Coventry City will only have to pay £40,000 up front for new striker Robbie Simpson, a tribunal has decided.

The maximum fee for the 22-year-old will be £130,000 and Cambridge will get 5% of any future transfer fee.

‘The up-front payment and sell-on clause is nothing short of disgraceful.

‘I’ve never heard of such a low figure and we’re just flabbergasted,’ United chairman Lee Power told his club’s website.
