Coventry City have announced plans for their new ‘True Sky Blue’ scheme which gives fans the chance to legally own their seat within the Ricoh Arena for a one-off payment on top of regular season ticket costs.

Other benefits, according to the club website include a season ticket at the previous season’s price for the first Premiership season if we are promoted together with discounts in the club shop, a personalised name plate and welcome pack.

Current season ticket holders are being given the chance to sign up for the scheme in a series of meetings with the club hierarchy with all of the money raised being used to benefit either the first-team or the club’s academy.

  • It’s an interesting idea but it’s hard to see more than a few hundred people being able to afford the extra money on top of their season tickets…
