Andy Thorn says he has everything in place to strengthen his Coventry City squad once the club’s transfer embargo is lifted.
Calling the post-season period a ‘massive’ time for the Sky Blues he told the official club website that he had been working closely with development director Steve Waggott to identify player targets and pre-season preparations.
‘It’s important to put in the hard work now.’
One of Thorn’s targets is thought to be Sky Blues supporter James Collins. The striker played a key role in Shrewsbury’s promotion to League One this season but will soon be out of contract.
***Update***The club have released a joint statement which states that ‘transparent, constructive and encouraging’ talks took place between itself, SISU, the City Council and the Higgs Charity on Thursday afternoon.
