Conor Thomas has been praised by Coventry City manager Steven Pressley after being named as the Sky Blues Young Player of the Year and also Community Player of the Year for his work outside of the football club in attending local schools and events.

‘In Conor we have a player who completely sacrifices himself to the team, and these types of players are invaluable and I really appreciate how he`s gone about things this year,’ said Pressley.

‘The work he does away from the training ground; he`s a true professional and the type of character I want in my football club.’

It seems strange for Thomas to still be considered a young player given the length of time he has been around the first team picture but, still only 20, he will hopefully be a mainstay of the side for many years to come.
