Tuesday night`s results in the Championship make it likely that three teams from four will be facing the dreaded drop at the end of the season.

Millwall won the big six-pointer of the evening at Doncaster to leave the Lions dreaming of safety now that they have reached the 40-point mark. Rovers on the other hand remain stuck on 31 after missing one of their big chances to make ground.

Nottingham Forest meanwhile won an incredible game of 10 goals at Elland Road to move onto 38 points and strike a big blow in their campaign to stay up.

Portsmouth, who come to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, came from behind to win in impressive style at Fratton Park against Birmingham City and move onto 30 points.

Bristol City suffered a woeful home defeat at the hands of Watford however and lie on 35, four points above Coventry City (31) with the Sky Blues in action at Cardiff on Wednesday night.
