The two sides of Nottingham Forest

Coventry City travel to the City Ground on Tuesday to face a tough test against one of the Championship’s most puzzling clubs.

Speaking after Saturday’s game at Watford, Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies returned to a familiar theme for the Scot, lambasting the lack of investment in his squad and stating clearly that his side are currently incapable of putting together a run of wins and cannot be considered as play-off contenders.

It is certainly not the first time this season that Davies has made such comments and, again not for the first time his board have responded with a well timed story in the media suggesting that the Scot is less than full-time in his duties at the club.

So a club in turmoil and an easy three points for the Sky Blues? Not quite as despite the ever present tension between Davies and his board, Forest remain unbeaten at home for over 25 league games, stretching well back into last season and on their day they remain capable of some of the most vibrant attacking football in the division.

A tough test in store but one that the new improved Coventry side will hopefully be able to stand up to.
