The Non-League Scene

|

A hectic period of matches is approaching for all of the local Non-League clubs in the area as the effects of a long and damaging winter continue into April.

That means games being played on all days of the week to try and beat the backlog between now and the end of the season.

Nuneaton Town moved into 12th place in the National League North on Saturday with a win at Southport and face league leaders Salford City this weekend after Tuesday evening’s home match with York City.

Leamington went down to a single goal defeat at Bradford Park Avenue and were only three points above the relegation zone after the weekend’s games.

The Brakes entertain Curzon Ashton on Saturday.

There are also scheduled home games on Saturday for Bedworth United as they chase promotion from the Evo-Stik South division and Coventry United (who have a huge fixture pile-up to contend with), Coventry Alvis and Coventry Copsewood in the Midland Football League.
