The big news on the local Non-League scene over the past few days has been the departure of Nuneaton Town manager Tommy Wright for fellow National League North club Darlington, where he was previously a player.

Wright saw his new side win 2-1 on Saturday, a day after his departure from Liberty Way where Nuneaton were beaten 3-1 by Stockport County to leave themselves 18th in the division.

Leamington are one place higher but the Brakes will be buoyed by some excellent results in recent weeks.

After defeating big-money Salford City on their own patch, Leamington have taken points of both York City and leaders Harrogate Town to set up this Saturday’s clash with North Ferriby United which will be ‘Pay What You Want’ at the turnstiles.

Also this weekend, for City fans not heading to Luton, is an FA Trophy local derby between Stratford Town and Bedworth United snd home fixtures in the Midland Football League for both Coventry Sphinx and Coventry United.
