While Coventry City were staying alive in League One for another week after Saturday’s 1-0 victory against Peterborough United, there was plenty going on around the region in the Non-League game.

Nuneaton Town played out a 1-1 draw against Chorley, Devon Kelly-Evans starting for Town as he continues his loan spell from the Sky Blues.

Secure in the National League for next season, Nuneaton host Harrogate on Easter Saturday.

Leamington’s thoughts are now turning to the play-offs as they trail leaders Chippenham Town by eight points in the Southern League Premier Division.

The Brakes drew a blank at home to Kings Langley while Stratford Town won at Hayes & Yeading on Friday evening.

Rugby Town missed a glorious chance to allay their relegation fears when losing to bottom club Loughborough at Butlin Road while, also in the Northern Premier League Division One South, Bedworth United were beaten at home by Belper.

As well as Nuneaton, Stratford, Rugby and Coventry Sphinx are at home this Saturday with the Sky Blues in action the day before against Charlton Athletic.
