Swansea City boss Paulo Sousa has been searching for a striker throughout January to aid his side’s play-off push and has settled on a deal for experienced Finn Shefki Kuqi.

‘I’m moving to a club that is doing really well,’ said the 33-year-old, who has recently been playing for German Second Division side TuS Koblenz.

‘I had a good game at the Liberty Stadium for Crystal Palace last season and scored one of the goals.

‘Hopefully this will be a lucky ground for me.’

Kuqi is in line to make an immediate debut against Coventry City on Tuesday night.

He has previously netted against the Sky Blues in the Championship for Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace.
