Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd is looking to pull a rabbit out of the hat with his seventh signing of the summer, a one-year deal for experienced lower league frontman Clive Platt from his former club Colchester United.
‘Everyone who plays with him scores goals and I think he can add something to the squad,’ said Boothroyd, quoted on the official club website.
A veteran of nearly 500 league games with Walsall, Rochdale, Notts County, Peterborough, MK Dons and Colchester, 32-year-old Platt has netted 95 goals.
