Coventry City are now 13th in League One and just 5 points away from the play-off places after yet another impressive victory on Saturday, this time against another in-form team in the shape of Walsall.

Both sides went into the game on the back of impressive 3-1 victories in midweek, Walsall winning away at Swindon Town while the Sky Blues were inflicting a first league defeat of the season on leaders Leyton Orient.

New signing Jamar Loza was included as a substitute while Aaron Phillips replaced the injured Jordan Willis at right-back and Conor Thomas was passed fit to start.

An even first-half ended goalless, John Fleck going into the notebook for the Sky Blues but in form midfielder Franck Moussa broke the deadlock on 53 minutes.

The Saddlers sent on ex-City winger Julian Gray after going behind but struggled to create clear-cut chances and the Sky Blues held on comfortably to delight their large travelling contingent.
