A ‘phoenix’ Coventry City club has yet to rise from the ashes but the Sky Blues will be playing a lot of Sunday football in 2013/14.

Three ‘home’ games have already been moved as they clash with Northampton fixtures.

The first, against Bristol City means a long journey for visiting supporters which will be more complicated for those who like/have to travel by public transport.

Add in the disruption caused to any Coventry fans who do intend to make the journey to Sixfields and it all makes a mockery of the Football League’s slogan of ‘Real Football, Real Fans’.

Cody McDonald, meanwhile, has left the Sky Blues by mutual consent and is set to join Gillingham on a permanent deal.
