Coventry City took an early lead at Yeovil on their first outing as a League One club before being pegged back by the home side to end with a share of the spoils.

Cody McDonald will be expected to get his share of goals this season and was off and running as early as the 10th minute to put the Sky Blues in front.

2,000+ travelling fans made the long journey to Somerset but their joy was shortlived as Hinds netted an equaliser for the Glovers.

Andy Thorn afterwards expressed his disappointment at the goal City conceded and also what he felt was a ‘blatant’ penalty call that did not go in the visitors favour.

He added however: “We created lots of chances, so that’s encouraging. It’s a point away from home on the first day of the season against a tough team. Now we need to kick on.”
