Saints boss Nigel Pearson felt his side did enough to defeat Coventry City in Saturday’s big relegation battle.

‘We could easily have taken all three points,’ he told his club’s official website.

‘We had some good chances and we had a goal disallowed for a marginal offside so in some ways it is two points lost.’
