Solid home form keeps Sky Blues afloat

Coventry City haven’t quite made the Ricoh Arena a fortress this season but the club’s home ground has been a difficult place for visiting teams to take home a three-point haul from.

Some solid form is keeping the Sky Blues swimming in the congested mid-table pool of the Championship, well away from the relegation sharks at the present moment.

Seven home games have yielded only two wins but crucially only one defeat, to Swansea, and the four draws have all come against sides in the top ten of the division, West Bromwich Albion (3rd), Middlesbrough (4th), Bristol City (5th) and Leicester City (10th).

Turning draws into wins when teams from the wrong end of the table come to town is also crucial and Chris Coleman will be keen for Reading this Saturday to be sent the same way as Ipswich and Sheffield United.
