Coventry City became the 28th successive team to fail to win in the league at the City Ground as they were beaten 2-1 by Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, despite having taken the lead during an entertaining opening 45 minutes.

The Sky Blues were denied a decent penalty shout when on top early in the second-half and also missed some good chances, both at 1-1 and when chasing the game late on as Marlon King`s struggles in front of goal continued.

Aidy Boothroyd`s side again showed that they will provide more than a match for anyone in the Championship but the manager will be left to rue some slack defending, especially for Forest`s second goal as the Sky Blues lost a second game on the spin.

Reaction to follow on Vital Coventry.
