Coventry City enter their 10th successive season at Championship level with another new manager at the helm in the shape of Aidy Boothroyd.

The former Watford and Colchester boss will lead his new team into action against 23 opponents, who Vital Coventry will be looking at over the next few weeks.

Head-to-head: The Swans returned to the second tier of English football in 2008 and remain unbeaten against the Sky Blues since then.

4 tight Championship meetings have produced 3 draws, 1 win for Swansea and just 3 goals.

Transfer dealings: Dimi Konstantopoulos spent time on loan at the Liberty Stadium in the 2008/09 season, the only direct dealings between the clubs since the turn of the century.

The man in charge: Swansea continued their policy of appointing young managers when faced with the recent departure of Paulo Sousa, opting to bring in Brendan Rodgers despite his troubles at Reading last season.

‘I’m very proud to become manager of Swansea City – a progressive club that plays the game the right way,’ Rodgers told the Swansea website.

‘My aim is continue that philosophy and help the club progress. I want to play offensive, attacking football, but with discipline.”
