Coventry City enter their 10th successive season at Championship level with another new manager at the helm in the shape of Aidy Boothroyd.

The former Watford and Colchester boss will lead his new team into action against 23 opponents, who Vital Coventry will be looking at over the next few weeks.

Head-to-head: 12 Championship meetings have taken place between the teams since City’s relegation from the top-flight.

Both have 5 wins each including an easy double for the Royals last season.

Transfer dealings: Jay Tabb moved from the Ricoh to the Madejski in January 2009 but probably remains more popular at the former rather than the latter.

Ady Williams and Shaun Goater made moves from Berkshire in late 2004 and early 2005 respectively while Dean Gordon spent a short loan spell with the Royals.

The man in charge: Brian McDermott made a blistering start to life in the hotseat after succeeding Brendan Rodgers in December and is now the permanent man in charge at the Madejski.
