Coventry City enter their 10th successive season at Championship level with another new manager at the helm in the shape of Aidy Boothroyd.

The former Watford and Colchester boss will lead his new team into action against 23 opponents, who Vital Coventry will be looking at over the next few weeks.

Head-to-head: Championship ever-presents since 2002, the sides have met 16 times in the league since then and while City have won a couple of times on home soil they have lost 6 and drawn 2 at Portman Road.

Transfer dealings: Jon Stead ended last season on loan at the Ricoh from Ipswich and impressed initially before fading away.

Stead followed the same path as winger Darren Currie in 2006 and striker James Scowcroft a year earlier.

The man in charge: The expected promotion charge in Roy Keane’s first season in charge never came and there were plenty of reports throughout the year that he would be leaving his post.

Results gradually improved over the campaign at Portman Road however and the Irishman’s willingness to blood some of the club’s exciting youngsters drew praise.
