Chris Coleman’s Coventry City, containing more than half a team of permanent signings made by the Welshman, defeated leaders Wolves on Saturday.

Michael Doyle put the Sky Blues in front midway through the first-half and Coleman will have been delighted with the way his side responded to Sam Vokes equaliser on 72 minutes, as Leon McKenzie immediately restored their lead.

Kieren Westwood then saved an injury-time penalty to preserve the advantage.

City have now reached the 40 point mark for the season and will have given themselves a big confidence boost ahead of the FA Cup trip to Blackburn.
