Barnsley manager Mark Robins’ after-match comments following his side’s 3-0 reverse at the Ricoh Arena show that Coventry City are fast becoming a team that their Championship rivals are taking notice of.

Earlier in the week Robins had flagged up the task his men would face in CV6 but despite plenty of work on the training ground the Tykes had no answer to what their manager called ‘probably the biggest and most physical side in the division’.

He added: ‘You’ve got to come to places like this and be stronger and not be bullied. I think we’ve been bullied in every department.’

There’s a hint of disdain in those comments and some others that have been made about the Sky Blues recently but to City fans they may be music to the ears and infinitely preferable to being patted on the head by managers whose teams have just taken the points away.
