Coventry City suffered a third successive defeat as they were beaten 2-0 by leaders Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday afternoon.

The Sky Blues more than matched the R’s for the opening half but an extra touch of quality from the visitors saw them ease to victory after the break.

Aidy Boothroyd afterwards praised the first-half display, bemoaned the defensive errors that led to the two goals and hinted at a ‘shake-up’ in January to freshen up his squad.

“QPR have got the quality and experience to win a game when not playing particularly well,” said the City boss. “That’s what we want to do.”
