Coventry City took the lead in a tough fixture through a Marlon King and then saw the opposition level things up. A familiar tale in the season to date but Saturday’s game at Leicester didn’t end up with quite the same result as the Sky Blues ground out a draw against their local rivals.

Martin Cranie was sent off towards the end of a tough derby clash but overall Aidy Boothroyd will be pleased that his side did not end up pointless from the game.

“It was a very good point,” said Aidy Boothroyd after seeing his side move on to 40 points for the campaign. “We knew it would be difficult coming here. They are a terrific team. Just look at what they are bringing off the bench.

“They have Yakubu up against our 20-year-old Nathan Cameron who was only starting his 16th game, and we knew it was going to be a test.

“I thought the first half we created two or three chances, but you know with the quality Leicester have got they are going to get back into it – which they did with Kyle Naughton scoring against us again.

“It was a wonderful goal, but at the end of it we are delighted because we went down to 10 men and still managed to grab a point.”
