Coventry City’s Scottish tour begins on Tuesday night at Dudgeon Park, the home of Highland League club Brora Rangers.

Andy Thorn, who will be without Richard Keogh for the trip as the Sky Blues defender heads for the exit door, will be looking for his side to build on an encouraging start to pre-season as his new signings showed up well in the 8-0 win against Hinckley United.

After the trip to face The Cattachs it is SPL opposition for City as they play Ross County on Wednesday night and Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the weekend.

Keogh’s likely departure opens a potential gap for Richard Wood to re-establish himself as a first-team regular after a knee injury cut short his campaign as the Sky Blues were relegated.

Wood told the Coventry Telegraph that he had been back in training two weeks prior to the rest of the squad and was determined to be in the starting XI for the opening game at Yeovil.
