After featuring in the national spotlight with their FA Cup victory against Stoke City and subsequently hosting the BBC coverage of the Fourth Round draw, Coventry City return to League Two action this coming weekend with an important game against fellow promotion contenders Exeter City.

A congested top of the table means just two points separate the Sky Blues, currently in third place, from their hosts in eighth and there will be plenty of chopping and changing in the promotion and play-off spots between now and the end of the campaign.

But Mark Robins` side have the chance to consolidate their hold on a top-three position and should be in confident mood, not just from the Stoke win but from a positive festive programme and their record against fellow top sides this season.

That includes a 2-0 win against Exeter at the Ricoh Arena earlier in the campaign when the Grecians arrived in CV6 as league leaders having won seven of their opening eight matches.
