Coventry City moved to the top of the Championship table, albeit perhaps for a short space of time with a hard-earned win over Derby County at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday lunchtime.
Man-of-the-match Ben Turner capped his excellent defensive display with the winning goal to add to Lukas Jutkiewicz’s penalty in the first-half.
Derby’s equaliser after the break heralded their best spell of the game but the Sky Blues continued to battle throughout the match and managed to keep their shape while still creating chances.
A disappointing crowd, kept low by TV coverage, was in attendance but those who were there will have been encouraged by what they saw.
