Coventry City first team coach Steve Harrison has left the club after coming to an agreement over the remainder of his contract at the Ricoh Arena.

Harrison has often been cited as a positive influence over the Sky Blues dressing room but his time at the club has of course coincided with season after season of struggle, culminating in relegation.

Although Harrison was brought to the club by Chris Coleman, Andy Thorn’s reaction to his departure will be interesting to see with the two men having worked closely together since being made caretaker managers following Aidy Boothroyd’s sacking.

Lee Carsley may now take a more senior role under Thorn after his good work with the club’s academy and subsequent promotion to work more closely with the first team squad.
