Coventry City’s biggest win of the season came in front of the Sky TV cameras against Southampton in October with Jay Tabb scoring his final two goals in a Sky Blue shirt and Leon McKenzie and Leon Best also taking advantage of a generous Saints defence.

The most memorable moment of match however came when Elliott Ward stepped up to take a penalty with the score at 1-0 to City.

A cheeky chip was in the centre-half’s mind but Southampton keeper Kelvin Davis simply stayed standing in the middle of the goal to make Ward’s effort look ‘dingly dangly’ in Chris Coleman’s words and ensuring a dressing down from the Sky Blues manager.
