Coventry City caretaker manager Richard Shaw believes getting his side’s first league win of the season will open the floodgates for more but knows that Stevenage will make it far from easy.

With Sunday’s game being televised live on Sky some of the pre-match build-up (an article on the Daily Express website on Saturday being a case in point) has focused on how far the Sky Blues have fallen in recent years as they prepare to face a side that were in non-league just a few seasons ago.

As Shaw told the Coventry Telegraph this week however: ‘We have got to realise where we are.

‘We’ve got no divine right to go out and win.’

On-loan striker David McGoldrick impressed in Tuesday night’s JPT win against Burton Albion and could start as City look to find the goals that will ease the pressure on their back line.
