A definite sign of Coventry City’s upward mobility is the number of players linked with a move to the Ricoh Arena since the end of the season in contrast to the same period last year.

Vital Football looks at a few of those supposedly on their way to the Sky Blues.

Midfielders – Colin Cameron has been the most strongly linked, although Micky Adams has denied offering any player a contract as yet. The experienced midfielder is a free agent after the expiry of his Wolves’ deal.

Andy Reid – A bit of a pipe dream perhaps. The Republic of Ireland international would cost a hefty fee, and like Tottenham team-mate Calum Davenport may not fancy dropping down a division on loan.

Sebastian Carole – Tricky winger who impressed against the Sky Blues for Brighton last summer. A possible buy given the Seagulls relegation.

Strikers – Wayne Andrews of Crystal Palace has been linked with City a couple of times over the past few months. Unlikely to cost a fortune as he is on the fringes at Selhurst Park.

Vio Ganea – Romanian international is a free agent after leaving Wolves. Much depends on whether the Sky Blues keep hold of Gary McSheffrey and Stern John over the summer.

Craig Dargo – Inverness Caledonian Thistle frontman has a good scoring record in the SPL but would command a fee.
