Coventry City travel to the Madejski Stadium on Easter Monday looking to stop their season drifting to a disappointing conclusion after Saturday’s home defeat by Derby County.

The Royals, who also have 52 points but having played 2 games fewer than the Sky Blues, were on an excellent run of form prior to their 2-1 reverse at Ipswich.

Former City loanee Matt Mills was sent off at Portman Road but Reading have appealed the decision and he should be available to play on Monday.

‘I’ve watched it five or six times and at worst it was a yellow,’ said boss Brian McDermott.

‘If we start taking tackles like that out of our game it’ll be a sorry state of affairs

‘Millsy actually got the ball and when the referee sees it again I’m sure he’ll agree. I’m sure it’ll be rescinded.’

Ex-Sky Blues favourite Jay Tabb is also likely to play against his old club as McDermott utilises his squad to cope with two games in the space of three days.
