Coventry City have all but finalised their pre-season plans, with one game left to arrange on Saturday 29 July, a week before the start of the Championship season.

According to the Evening Telegraph this is set to be a high profile home game and hopefully City will be able to attract a top club from Europe for what will really be the official opening of the Ricoh Arena.

The race against time to get the stadium opened last season meant the Sky Blues’ first game in it was a league match against QPR with a reduced capacity of 23,000.

Although it felt more and more like home in the second-half of the season, a game against a big name with plenty of old City stars on the pitch beforehand would be good.
