If Coventry City wanted a bidding war for striker Callum Wilson then they certainly seem to have got one with Reading the latest club to be linked with the player.

AFC Bournemouth have reportedly come back in with a second bid as they look to replace Norwich-bound Lewis Grabban while Wolverhampton Wanderers are also being credited with an interest.

Nottingham Forest are now unlikely suitors with new manager Stuart Pearce having signed two forwards this week but Reading’s interest will add to Wilson’s price tag.

Based on his performances last season, both when partnering Leon Clarke and playing up front on his own, Wilson is certainly capable of holding his own and more in the Championship.
