Vital Coventry member ‘ccfcks’ contacted us to have his say on the sacking of Micky Adams.

‘I think now it’s time for CCFC fans to look forward.

‘There are going to be fans who wanted Micky to stay and think he has not been given a chance with no money and McSheffrey sold.

‘There will also be fans that wanted him to go and with the last 8 games they might have a point.

‘But managers and players will always leave the club, as a fan you can’t, it’s in the blood.

‘We know as Coventry fans we are going to sell players that’s how it is, the club would not have a chance of staying in business if they didn’t.

‘By now we as City fans we should be used to it, but like I said it’s in your blood.

‘We will keep going back, a good result or two and the crowds will rise.

‘It is now time to look forward now after all we are only 10 points off the play offs.’

  • Absolutely – let’s all get behind them.

It is a 3 year plan, and part of the problem is that some sections of the support expect instant success.

If we were promoted this year we would have insufficient finances/ players to do anything other than get relegated.

I understand the benefits of parachute payments but would much rather build for longer term success.

  • Very sensible comments, we at Plymouth have established ourselves in this league and fans are talking about Play offs , I would much rather take the same route as above.
