Vital Coventry member Wolstc sent us his thoughts on Saturday afternoon at the Ricoh Arena.

He said: ‘Enjoying a fine team performance with all the players deserving of ‘man of the match’ awards it was really frustrating to be watching the game while the stewards waded in. Obviously under orders to remove the ‘SISU out’ signs you watched with open mouths as they went about their task.

Any goodwill towards SISU built up during the last two weeks and the fact that Jutkiewicz was not sold went in the mad five minutes at ‘Singers Corner’. Whoever advises SISU on PR matters should be fired quickly as it turned the normal quiet fans against the current board and the shadowy owners.

On a positive note our thoughts are with Carl Baker and their family on what must have been a very difficult day but everyone very happy that his younger brother has been given the all clear after a very painful three year struggle with leukaemia. Now that does put everything in perspective.

Listening to the local radio on the journey home on Saturday evening we had to endure a Coventry City spokesman explaining why the banners had to be taken down due to the all encompassing ‘health and safety’ world we live in. The gentleman concerned should listen to his interview as there must have been hundreds of fans like us who listened ‘open mouthed’ at the drivel he was saying…amazing.’
