Coventry City hope to maintain a decent record in West London over the past few seasons when they travel to Queens Park Rangers this weekend, buoyed by a much-improved display in the second-half of their game against Crystal Palace.

A key battle in the middle of the park could be between loan stars Steven Reid and Jack Cork.

Reid of Blackburn Rovers, once linked with big-money moves to the Premier League’s big boys, is aiming to get his career back on track with QPR after a serious injury.

‘I can’t explain how great it is to be back playing league football on a Saturday instead of shopping with the missus or watching Soccer Saturday on TV,’ the Ireland international told Sky Sports.

For the Sky Blues, boss Chris Coleman is hoping that on-loan Chelsea man Jack Cork will thrive on the responsibility of holding the midfield together with Aron Gunnarsson, allowing David Bell and Michael McIndoe to hug the wings and supply the strikers.

‘We need Aron and Corky to chip in with a few goals and create a little bit more for us,’ Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph.
