Preston North End manager Paul Simpson hailed his side after their 4-0 win at Coventry on Saturday.
‘It’s as well as we’ve played for a long time but I think it’s a reward for the way they have stuck together this week,’ he said as the promotion chasers ended a poor run of form.
‘We haven’t got too distracted with everybody being negative and writing us off.
‘We kept our heads and it was a fantastic performance.
‘We had a great attitude to working, we mixed it up and got our rewards.’
